Think-Hear-See

Can you blame me for being absent in 2 consecutive meetings? Actually, yes. You can use the saying "Kung ayaw may dahilan, kung gusto palaging merong paraan.." against me. I will definitely plead guilty. But hey, I am one of those who pay for my own education and money is not that easy to borrow these days specially when you've been to LONDON - Loan dito, loan dun - to pay for tuition every semester that meager and delayed salary can't afford. 

But then "not an excuse" says Randy S. Gamboa.

Maybe i deserve a failing grade (I already have 1). But then, everybody deserves a second chance. Right?

Like everyone, i want to pass all my subjects and hopefully graduate by the year 2013. Good thing classmates are always helpful. A couple of questions here and there and voila! Here I am making this blog. (Forgive me for the introduction)

I was not there during the discussion, so i thought long and hard for this. Bottomline, i ended reading most of my classmates blogs. Here goes nothing.

Our professor in the course Organizational Analysis is Dr. Randy S. Gamboa. I have heard of him from a colleague before. I just can't remember what she said though. Anyway, he does not like to be called Doctor, Sir or even Mr. (I wonder if he'd prefer Kuya). If i was there I'd have second thoughts not calling him Sir since I'm used to addressing my teachers Ma'am or Sir. I guess it's just how he likes it. To lighten things up. 

He wants the class to be fun and interactive (Oh, i want that too). Everybody enjoyed that first meeting (I wish I was there). They had fun answering his questions (though they were reluctant to answer at first) like "What is a plan?" and "What's the difference between a leader and a manager?". If I was there, my answer to the first question would have been: A plan is the what, why, who, when, where and how of a specific goal or something we want to achieve. My answer to the second question would have been: If compared to a pyramid, the manager is at the top of the pyramid and the leader is directly below and directly above members. The manager has higher authority than the leader. The leader then has higher authority than members.

If I was the one asked if I memorized our school's Mission, Vision and Goals, well, I'd say I did.

 If I was there maybe i had eagerly listened to what he had to say about the ABCDE (Assessment, Baseline, Components, Down to Specifics, Evaluate) Strategic Planning Models, and the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) Analysis and maybe i would have learned something, learned more and had fun.

Well, I won't be absent next time for sure.
